Bucket dredgers are simple and inexpensive machines that can provide large production at low cost (both energy and purchase). The range of machines produced by ROHR Bagger (of which Tecno-Beton. Impianti is dealer for Italy) is divided into two categories:

• Tracked machines, which move along the edge of the quarry area, dumping the material collected along the slope onto the ground.
• Floating machines, which mount a chain of cups capable of digging by floating on the quarry lake (material is brought ashore through a chain of floating belts).

Available in various capacities and excavation configurations, they can reach depths of 20m.
